App will not start
Start with the basics. Fully close the app and open it again. If the iPhone seems generally unstable, restart the phone and try once more. A simple restart can clear temporary launch issues that have nothing to do with your trip data.
If the app still will not open, check whether the problem started after an iPhone update, a low-storage condition, or an interrupted install. If storage is very low, iPhone apps can behave unpredictably. Freeing space and trying again may help. If WatchKeeper was recently installed or updated, confirm that the installation completed properly.
If the app opens and then closes immediately, try reopening it after a device restart. If it stays open long enough to load, verify that your trip is still present and that the current watch is correct. Because WatchKeeper recomputes schedule state from saved local data, the app may be able to recover cleanly once it launches again.
What to Try
- Force close WatchKeeper and reopen it.
- Restart the iPhone.
- Check that the app finished installing or updating.
- Make sure the iPhone has enough available storage.
- Reopen the app and confirm the active trip once it loads.
Important Note
- A launch problem does not automatically mean your trip is gone.
- WatchKeeper is designed to rebuild the current watch state from saved local data when it can open normally again.
If WatchKeeper still will not start after these steps, the next best action is to note what happens at launch, such as whether the app never opens, opens briefly and closes, or shows a blank screen. That makes troubleshooting much easier.
